One of Zoom's fantastic features is the ability to switch up your virtual background, making your visuals more dynamic. In this article, Software Tips will guide you on how to change your virtual background in Zoom.
1. Change Virtual Background in Zoom
Step 1: Open the Zoom software and select the Settings icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Next, select the Virtual Background tab to modify Zoom's virtual backdrop. Zoom provides various pre-equipped virtual background templates; you can click on them to use instantly.
Step 3: Additionally, we have some customization options such as:
- I have a green screen: If you are using a green screen, white screen, or similar solid color backgrounds, choose this option
- Mirror my video: Flip the video to orient it in the direction you are looking.
Step 4: In addition to the pre-equipped Zoom images, you can select Add -> Add Image/ Add Video to add background images from your computer.
Ensure that the images added to the background have high quality with HD resolution (1280x720px) or above.
2. Change the virtual background directly during your Zoom meeting
Step 1: On the main interface of the meeting, click the expanded arrow icon and select Choose Virtual Background.
Step 2: After that, proceed to perform similar steps as in Part 1 above, and you're done.
