Simple Steps to Follow
Charging Joy-Cons Without Switch

Get a Separate Joy-Con Charging Accessory. There are various accessories available for charging your Joy-Cons without connecting them to your Switch. Here are a couple of options:

Connect Your Joy-Cons to the Charging Accessory. Simply slide your Joy-Cons into the designated slots on the charging accessory until they click into place.

Power Up Your Charging Accessory. Plug your charging accessory into a power source using a USB cable. This can be your Nintendo Switch dock or any other USB power outlet.
Charging Joy-Cons With Switch

Charge Your Switch. You have two options: place your Switch in its dock or connect it using a USB-C charging cable.

Attach Joy-Cons to Your Switch. When your Switch is charging, your Joy-Cons will charge too. Note that your Switch must be on or in sleep mode for this to work.
Charging a Pro Controller

Connect Pro Controller to USB-C Cable. Use the provided USB-C cable or any compatible one to charge your Pro Controller.

Plug USB-C Cable into Power Source. You can use your Nintendo Switch dock or any USB power source to charge your Pro Controller. Alternatively, consider buying a separate charging dock for convenience.
Troubleshooting

Ensure Your Switch Is Charging. Your Switch must be connected to a charger and powered on or in Sleep Mode for Joy-Cons to charge when plugged in.

Inspect Your Cables and Accessories. Damaged AC adapters, USB-C cables, or charging accessories may prevent proper charging. Replace damaged items or try an alternative charging method.

Reset Your AC Adapter. Unplug both ends of the AC adapter for 30 seconds, then reconnect and try charging again.

Reset Your Joy-Cons. Disconnect each Joy-Con from the console and press the SYNC Button located on the straight edge of each Joy-Con between the SL and SR buttons.

Inspect the USB-C port on your Pro Controller for any signs of damage or dirt. If you find that the port is either damaged or dirty, it might not charge properly. Grab a flashlight to examine the port closely for any debris. If you do spot any dirt, make use of compressed air to give it a thorough clean. In case the port appears damaged, it's best to reach out to Nintendo Support for assistance.
