I. What are Priority Areas? List of Priority Areas 2023
Priority areas are determined based on the location of the school where the candidate has studied the longest during high school (or equivalent). In cases where the time spent studying in equivalent areas is equal, priority areas are determined based on the region of the school where the candidate last studied.
From 2023, candidates are only entitled to priority area policies when enrolling in university/college in the graduation year and the following year. The specific priority area bonus policies are as follows:
+ Area 1 (KV1): Candidates receive an additional 0.75 points.
+ Rural Area 2 (KV2-NT): Candidates receive an additional 0.5 points, Area 2 (KV2) receives 0.25 points.
+ Area 3 (KV3): No priority points are awarded.

III. How to check 2023 priority areas and subjects
From the list of priority areas provided by Mytour above, you can check your priority area by pressing 'Ctrl F' and typing the name of the commune or district/province where you are studying.
Note: From 2023, candidates scoring 22.5 or above (converted on a scale of 10 and a maximum total score of 30 for three subjects) will have their priority points determined by the following formula:
Priority points = [(30 - Total score obtained)/7.5] x Priority score (by area or by priority subject)
As such, candidates scoring 22.5 or above will have their priority points gradually reduced. In the case of a score of 30, the priority points will be 0.
In the article, Mytour has provided a list along with conditions and procedures for assessing priority subjects in 2023. Students can check their priority areas to prepare best for the upcoming exam.
