Verifying Microsoft Edge Version: How to Check the Running Version
Step 1: Access the custom menu icon of Microsoft Edge (...) > select Settings.
Step 2: Within the Settings interface, scroll down to the bottom and navigate to the section About this app to check the running version of Microsoft Edge on your computer.
In this section, you will find two indices:
- Microsoft Edge: 38.14393.0.0
This is the current version of Microsoft Edge running on your Windows 10 computer. The specific version is 38, and the Windows 10 version number is 14393.0.0.
- Microsoft EdgeHTML: 14.14393
This is the version number of the browser development program, which is usually the development version number of web developers.
Note that these are two different indices, and if you are just a normal user, you only need to care about the Microsoft Edge index: 38.14393.0.0. The Microsoft EdgeHTML index is only for web developers.
