Developed by Tencent, Battle Through the Heavens is a 3D animated series adapted from the novel by Thien Tam Tho Dao. It explores mystical themes, following the protagonist, Xiao Yan, once revered as a genius, who suddenly loses all his abilities overnight. Despite facing ridicule and isolation, his determination remains unwavering. Xiao Yan embarks on a journey to uncover the reason behind his loss and regain his dominance in the Battle Through the Heavens continent.
The animated project commenced in 2017 and quickly became a sensation across Chinese and Asian markets. In 2018, Hubei TV even produced a live-action adaptation starring celebrities like Wu Lei, Dylan Wang, and Crystal Yuan. However, it failed to achieve the anticipated success.
