In a recent interview, Chris Hemsworth admitted to feeling disappointed with his portrayal in Thor: The Dark World. He hopes audiences will have a better impression of his performance in Thor: Love and Thunder - the 2022 installment.
The actor shared in an interview: 'I wasn't captivated by what I did in Thor 2. I'm quite disappointed with what I've done. I don't think I developed the character in the best way and showed the audience something surprising, different in my role.'
Chris Hemsworth discussed with the director of Thor 2 about how he truly became tired of the Thor character he embodied after the film ended. The star explained that this made Thor: The Dark World in 2013 not as highly regarded as the first installment in 2011.
During the interview, Chris Hemsworth also shared that the failure of his role as Thor in 2013 was the motivation for him to come back stronger in Thor: Love and Thunder.
'I think everyone has to experience failures to improve themselves. Thor 2 wasn't a bad film for the audience, but for me, it was a failure. I'm confident that the audience will see a better Thor in the upcoming film. I won't let you down, for sure!'
