Sharing data through connecting computers and phones via cables is an outdated and inconvenient method. Now, users can transfer data much more quickly with the new QR code scanning sharing feature updated on Chrome 84. For details, please refer to the content shared below from Mytour.
Download and install the latest Chrome version on your phone and computer:
To start using this feature, you'll need to enable some Chrome Flags first, and this process differs on computer and Android.
On Android, you'll need to enable the following 2 Flags to activate the feature:
* chrome://flags/#sharing-hub
* chrome://flags/#share-qr-code
Once you've enabled these flags, simply restart Chrome. Then, just tap to share a page and tap on the QR Code to enter sharing mode. Chrome will display a QR code that you can scan to access the shared URL. The QR code can also be downloaded for quick sharing with friends via Slack or email if desired.
On your computer, you only need to enable a single Flag (at least on Mac):
* chrome://flags/#sharing-qr-code-generator
However, here, you'll need to right-click on the page you want to share and select Generate QR Code for this page to display the QR code. Android Police notes that the QR code option also appears in the URL bar at the far right end and only shows up when you click on the address bar in Chrome.
There's no way to scan QR codes on a computer. That's understandable because you're less likely to carry a computer around and use its camera to scan codes, but for Chrome OS tablets, this capability should be added. It would also be great if Chrome could recognize static images (thanks to the dinosaur image in the middle) of embedded QR codes on pages and convert them into links that users don't have to scan through their phone camera.
Apart from enabling flags manually and restarting Chrome, you don't need to do anything else to activate this feature. Just make sure you're using Chrome version 84 or later and follow the instructions to use the feature.
Designers working on tablets often complain about the lack of comprehensive tools compared to the desktop version. Responding to user feedback, Adobe updates Photoshop for iPad with Refine Edge Brush and Rotate Canvas tools to better support photo editing.
