DataMask conceals user data by blurring the images of tabs in the screenshots. If the data is in text form, the extension neither blurs nor deletes this text. Instead, it replaces the text with any string. This way, users can confidently take screenshots without worrying about privacy or the security of their personal data.
To use DataMask, simply access the Chrome Web Store, find and install the extension. Alternatively, you can directly access DataMask here to download and install it.
Whenever you need to capture a screenshot, simply click the DataMask icon located at the top right corner of your Chrome browser window or other Chromium-based web browsers. After clicking on the extension icon, all sensitive information on the screen will be hidden.
However, a drawback of DataMask is that there is no option to revert to the original version. In case you want to return to the original version, simply press the Refresh key.
Refer to how to Hide/Show Chrome extensions here.
