Whenever a browser update is available on Chrome, users will notice an update button in the browser as shown below:

Clicking the update button will redirect you to the Google Play store, where you can continue the upgrade process.
First discovered by Techdows.com, the Chrome build for Android Nightly adds a new flag chrome://flags called 'Enable Google Play Inline update flow' activated when a direct update flow occurs within the browser.
When this flag is activated, and you press the Update Chrome button, the browser will display a notification of the download file size and ask if you want to perform the update for the web browser.
If you choose to click the Update button, the browser will download the update in the background.
After the download process concludes, the Chrome menu will show a notification stating that the update process is finished and prompt you to restart the browser.
Clicking the Restart button will close the browser, and the update will be installed through Google Play.
Once the installation process is complete, the browser will automatically launch with the new update.

Chrome for Desktop utilizes automatic updates to download the latest version in the background and install it in the next session after users restart the browser. With this Chrome update method, the browser stays updated with the latest security patches.
With this feature, Google could transition to a similar update stream for Chrome for Android, allowing automatic downloads of the latest version in the background and notifying the installation when the browser is ready.
