Chromebook early adds a dock magnification tool.
In a recent post on Google+, François Beaufort shares: 'This new feature allows magnifying the top portion of the screen'. 'Users can try this new feature by searching for 'docked magnifier' in Chrome OS accessibility settings and activating it. Note that you can only choose magnification values ranging from 2x to 20x'.
As you can see in the screenshot below, the dock is magnified across the entire top portion of the screen, with the magnification level chosen by the user, while the rest of the screen remains in its normal state, where you can control what is displayed in the magnified area.
Try out the new feature in Chrome Canary
If you want to try out the new docked magnifier feature on your Chromebook, you need to switch to testing it on the Chrome Canary browser. However, Mytour does not recommend users do this.
To activate the docked magnifier, simply search for the feature in the accessibility settings on Chrome OS. Switch the Enable docked magnifier setting to ON to activate and choose the zoom level that suits you best.
Currently, there is no information on when the feature will be rolled out to the stable channel of Chrome OS. Users can hope that the feature will be available by the end of this year.
