In TFT Season 7, 1 and 2-cost champions remain powerful and effective in various team compositions. Champions like Sett, Ezreal, and others are even more favored than their expensive counterparts. They exhibit stable strength and are easy to upgrade to 3-star, but improper usage can lead to late-game struggles.
With 1 and 2-cost champions still untouched by nerfs, players can strategically experiment before any Riot adjustments. One notably efficient composition is pairing Ezreal with the Arcane Guardians.
Overview and Operational Tactics
Ezreal belongs to the Storm Dragon - Sniper tribe. Despite being a 1-cost champion (much cheaper than Twitch or Ashe), Ezreal stands out as the top-tier unit in the Sniper tribe, perhaps only second to Xayah. Ezreal gains high praise for his continuous skill casting. Moreover, Ezreal can adapt to a variety of equipment, whether damage-focused items, attack speed, or even Blue Buff for optimal performance.
Tech Cores essential for this lineup include Elemental Sphere (providing energy regeneration), Echoing Aura Luden (transforming Ezreal's damage into widespread area-of-effect), or Blazing Core (reducing healing and inflicting burning damage on opponents). Additionally, cores offering Sniper or Arcane Guardian bonuses can also be effective.
In the early game phase, players are likely to secure sufficient Arcane Guardian champions like Leona, Taric, and Ezreal to handle damage. Obtaining an early 2-star Ezreal is a significant advantage. Additionally, adding Qiyana is necessary to activate the Storm Dragon synergy.
In the mid-game phase, players need at least 8 Ezreals to roll for the remaining Ezreals and combine them into a 3-star unit. Other Arcane Guardians like Thresh or Braum should also be introduced to the team. During this phase, players should consider adding Ashe or Varus to activate the Sniper synergy, providing additional damage and crowd control (if using Varus).
In the late game, players may consider replacing Leona with Idas if there is no Arcane Guardian bonus. Retaining Braum and Thresh is essential for defensive capabilities and crowd control.
