Internet Download Manager (IDM) is software that helps you download multiple data types simultaneously, regardless of format. Files downloaded from the Internet are automatically stored in IDM's queue list, making it challenging to control downloaded and downloading files, impacting IDM's download speed.
There's a small trick to help you delete successfully downloaded files without having to search and delete each file manually in IDM. This trick will be explained in the following article.
Clear IDM's download list and delete downloaded data in IDM software
Download IDM software here: Get IDM
Step 1: After completing the IDM installation, open the browser by clicking the IDM (Internet Download Manager) icon on the Desktop (if you chose to place the icon on the Desktop during installation).
Alternatively, from the Menu Start in the Search Programs and files section, type Internet Download Manager as a keyword, and the search results will be displayed on the screen.
Step 2: There are two ways for you to delete successfully downloaded files using IDM.
Method 1: On the toolbar, select Downloads --> Delete All Completed to remove all successfully downloaded files saved in the IDM list.
Click OK to initiate the file deletion process.
Method 2: Click on the Delete Complete icon on the system bar to remove successfully downloaded files.
After completing the list-clearing task, IDM will only display files currently in the downloading process.
So, you have successfully cleared all completed downloads; the queue now only contains data currently being downloaded. Simply wait for these files to finish downloading and perform similar actions as mentioned above to remove them.
