This article provides a detailed guide on how to remove chat history on Skype for your computer.
Step 1: Access the Privacy section. There are 2 methods:
- Method 1: Go to Skype -> Privacy.
- Method 2: Navigate to the Tools tab -> Options.
Step 2: A dialog box appears, select Privacy -> Privacy Settings.
Step 3: Choose the target for clearing chat history. In the Allow IMs from section, there are options such as:
- Anyone: Clear the chat history of specific accounts in the list.
- People in my Contact list only: Clear the chat history of all accounts in your Skype contact list.
- Keep history for: You can choose to retain chat history for 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, or indefinitely. Select the option that suits your preferences.
Finally, click on Clear history to delete the chat history.
