Steps to Close Doors in Among Us
Step 1: Open the Sabotage menu
- Only Imposters can close certain rooms, which can be done through the Sabotage button on the bottom right of the screen. If there are multiple Impostors, a deceased Imposter can still use the Sabotage ability to close doors.

- You can only close rooms with an X icon on the Sabotage map, which will lock the doors of that room for
Steps to Open Doors in Among Us
Players cannot open doors that have been closed on The Skeld and Mira HQ maps. You just have to wait a few seconds and hope you don't get stuck in a room with an Imposter. However, on the Polus map, both Crewmates and Imposters can open doors. Here's how to do it:
Step 1: Approach the closed door
- In Polus, you can open a closed door from either inside or outside the room, it doesn't matter.
Step 2: Click the Use button below
Step 3: Turn off all red switches
- Press the bright red switches to turn them off. When all switches are flipped to the left, the closed door will immediately open.
Timing for Closing and Sabotage Cooldown
When you close a door in Among Us, the door will be tightly closed for 10 seconds before automatically reopening.
- On The Skeld and Mira HQ maps, closing a door will prevent any further Sabotage immediately, requiring a cooldown for Sabotage. Specifically, after closing a door, you have to wait 10 seconds before being able to disable O2 or lights and vice versa, unable to perform multiple sabotages simultaneously.
- However, on the Polus map, you can close multiple doors and perform Sabotages simultaneously. Closing doors, trapping players in rooms, and blocking their movement are some interesting strategies in Among Us.
