Closing the Doors of Zone 9 in Hanoi

The Hanoi City People's Committee has recently ordered the cessation of business activities and repairs at Zone 9. It emphasizes the need to manage and use the land in accordance with legal regulations.

On the afternoon of December 3, the Head of the Office of the Hanoi City People's Committee, Nguyen Thinh Thanh, conveyed the directive of the Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Committee, Nguyen The Thao, regarding the management and use of land at 9 Tran Thanh Tong Street (Zone 9) in Bach Dang Ward, Hai Ba Trung District.

Accordingly, the city requires Binh An Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (the unit managing the land) to terminate business activities and repairs in the area and to manage and use the land in accordance with legal regulations.

Hanoi's leadership also instructs the Hai Ba Trung District People's Committee to properly exercise its authority, fulfill assigned tasks, inspect the use of houses and land, legal conditions for business activities in the area, ensuring fire safety; safety of the construction.

Earlier, on November 19, a fire occurred at Zone 9 on the ground floor of a single 5-story building on the land plot (under repair to become a bar). The fire resulted in the death of 6 construction workers and injuries to several others.
