(Homeland) - The coach of the South Korean LMHT team seems quite concerned about a factor before ASIAD.
For several years, the LCK and LPL regions have showcased dominance in international League of Legends (LMHT) tournaments. Evidence suggests that teams from these regions have alternated winning the world championship for about 5 years. Therefore, when ASIAD 2022 announced LMHT as a medal sport, the anticipated showdown between LCK and LPL escalated.

And during the press conference preceding the Asian Games, members of the South Korean LMHT team faced numerous inquiries about the LPL region. Players such as Ruler and Kanavi hold this opponent in high regard, yet remain confident in their team's strength. However, Head Coach kkOma expresses considerable concern about a factor that could negatively impact the South Korean LMHT team.
“I believe that the South Korean team possesses the most outstanding players in LMHT presently. In reality, the LPL side commenced the training process two weeks ago. Meanwhile, we have less training time than them due to the recent conclusion of the LCK regional qualifiers. Such a short training period could induce tension among the players. This is the 'rival' that concerns me the most at the forthcoming ASIAD, not the LPL region,” shared Coach kkOma.

Ultimately, LMHT is an immensely team-oriented game. In high-level matches, the synergy among players will be the decisive factor. Meanwhile, players of the South Korean national team hail from various esports organizations.
Not to mention that players like Ruler and Kanavi have recently returned to South Korea. Clearly, these stars need more time to get acquainted and understand each other better. The short training time is indeed causing many difficulties for this team.

With someone as experienced in coaching as kkOma, he understands this well. Therefore, the head coach of the South Korean LMHT team has become worried about the short training time compared to the LPL opponent. Hopefully, the South Korean team can quickly overcome this difficulty and perform successfully at the upcoming Asian Games.
