(Motherland) - Coach Tom and Keria share insights on Poby and Faker.
The gloomy days of T1 seem to have passed as Faker returns, leading the team to 2 victories, concluding the LCK Summer 2023 group stage in 5th place. While this position may not secure T1 a strong playoff spot, it's enough to boost the players' spirits. In their match against Kwangdong Freecs, smiles and enthusiasm returned to the young faces of T1 as they crushed KDF in their usual fashion before Faker took a break due to injury.

Recently, in the post-match interview, Coach Tom and Keria shared their thoughts on T1's challenging period, as well as the roles of Poby and Faker. Coach Tom admits that Poby truly made his senior players feel a lot of pressure: 'With Poby, the other 4 players feel pressure, and the burden is 120 instead of 100. But now, those things have disappeared.' Keria agreed, admitting that he always tried to perform better in every match but failed.

Furthermore, Keria also stated: 'Because Faker is the captain, the whole team relies on him a lot, not just in the game but also outside.' Of course, both Coach Tom and Keria acknowledged that Poby had played diligently within his capabilities. Coach Tom thanked Poby, as well as the players and fans, for sticking with the team during difficult times. Keria, in particular, apologized to his younger teammates for not being able to help Poby secure more victories.

In reality, Poby himself admits that his senior players had to constantly worry about their own roles and try to keep him from being targeted by opponents continuously. This contributed to T1 players not being able to comfortably play in their own style and resulted in T1 suffering many defeats.

However, Poby's efforts are undeniable. The entire T1 team, including Faker himself, has acknowledged Poby's endeavors. These experiences are undoubtedly invaluable for this player on his journey to maturity, both in age and in profession. As for Faker, his current position is simply irreplaceable, not only in competition but also in the life aspects of T1 players.
