So, who or what are the Battletoads? Zitz, Rash, and Pimple are extraterrestrial amphibians, either mercenaries or renowned galaxy defenders, depending on your perspective. Throughout history, their goal has been to defeat the nefarious forces of the Dark Queen - a self-proclaimed queen with dreams of conquering the galaxy and a nasty habit of hurling insults while commanding her army of animals.
After nearly three decades since the debut of Battletoads, the new developers - Dlala, are resolutely bringing the game back with a fresh style, while still respecting the traditions of the original series. They aim to deliver an engaging storyline crafted by award-winning writers and featuring a multitude of humorous characters.

The next step in the game development process is casting voice actors who can vividly portray each hero, ensuring that every villain leaves a lasting impression.

The voice cast for Battletoads has been unveiled: Zitz, the swift and decisive action leader of the team, is voiced by Ryan Ridley (known for Rick & Morty, Community). The easily excited and unpredictable Rash is brought to life by Eric Bauza (famous for Looney Tunes, Star Wars Resistance), while the philosophically inclined warrior Pimple is portrayed by Siobhan Hewlett (from The Show, Brakes). Siobhan Hewlett also lends her voice to the enigmatic Dark Queen. Meanwhile, the game's scriptwriting team has skillfully infused our heroes with rich personalities and diverse traits, gearing up for their revival in 2020.
