Error Code 0 FF
Occasionally, an LG refrigerator may display an error code '0 FF.' This is not a typical error code. This notification simply indicates that the unit is in demo mode. On the front display panel of the refrigerator, the issue can often be resolved by simultaneously pressing the 'refrigerator' and 'ice plus' buttons for 5 to 10 seconds while the refrigerator door is open. The top-mounted freezer has the same function but only requires turning the light switch on and off for about 5 seconds.
Error Code Er IF
All malfunctions or similar issues will be displayed with an 'Er' on the digital display. The LG refrigerator error code 'Er IF' indicates a 'Nail Technician Fault.' As the name suggests, this error code indicates an issue with the unit's ice fan control. If this issue arises due to ice buildup, unplugging the unit for 3 to 4 hours and allowing it to defrost may resolve the issue. Contact customer service if the problem persists.
Error Code Er FF
This code is not to be confused with the O FF or demo error notification. The 'Er FF' error code indicates a malfunction with the cooling fan of the unit. The freezer fan controls the temperature inside the freezer. The source of this error is likely ice buildup. Like the ER IF error, allowing the unit to defrost should address the issue. Contact customer service if the error code continues to display after defrosting the unit.
Error Code Er FS
'Er FS,' or Refrigerator Sensor Error, may result from a short or cut somewhere in the unit's circuitry. Sometimes, unplugging the unit for a few minutes will reset the system and clear the error code. Contact customer service if the issue persists.
Error Code Er rS
Refrigerator Sensor Error, or 'Er rS,' is another error code that may occur due to a cut or short somewhere. A temporary solution may be to unplug the unit for a few minutes while the system resets. Customer service should be called if the error message persists.
Error Code Er ds
An LG refrigerator will display the error code 'Er ds' if there is an issue with the defrost sensor. Once again, this error message may indicate a cut or short somewhere in the system. Attempting to reset the system by unplugging the unit may resolve the issue. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
Error Code Er dH
The 'Er dH' error message, also known as the Cooling Heatsink Error, is displayed when the unit fails to reach 46º F within 2 hours of starting the defrost cycle. This could indicate a defrost heatsink or a temperature fuse that has been pulled out of its slot. Contact customer service if the issue persists after attempting to reset the system.
Error Code Er CF
The unit receives signals from the BLDC fan motor in the freezer compartment during normal operation. If more than 65 seconds pass without a signal from the fan motor, the 'Er CF' error message will be displayed. The Cooling Motor Error typically indicates a faulty fan motor or loose wiring. Customer service should be contacted immediately.
