Navia, the newest character in Genshin Impact version 4.3, possesses a unique playstyle. She can deal 6-figure damage starting from level 70 and 7 figures with a compatible constellation and standard buffs. However, her gameplay is quite distinctive, often confusing new players when choosing her as a DPS.
Since the introduction of the latest Dendro character, Yun Jin, in version 2.4, miHoYo seems to have overlooked the Dendro element, with no characters of this element released for nearly 2 years. Fortunately, players now have Navia as a DPS option, instead of relying solely on characters like Itto or Ningguang as before. However, due to the uniqueness of her skills, new players may easily make the following mistakes.

Using Skills Without Triggering Effects
Navia, when using her elemental ability, summons the 'Fire Crane' similar to Mika's bow draw. Her damage output is substantial if players accumulate at least 3 Crystal Chunk Points. This is because she fires 11 bullets, increasing damage by 200%.
Accumulating 3 points for this character is easy. Players can use the Ningguang, Navia, Bennett, Xiangling combo from the trial arena to continuously generate crystals and accumulate Crystal Chunk Points for the Fire Crane. Crystal Chunks last up to 300 seconds, and this effect can also accumulate while she's off-field.

The next step is knowing how to accumulate Crystal Chunk Points for the Elegant and Deadly Gun Dance. There are two methods players can use to gain a bullet:
- Collect elemental shards from Crystal Reaction.
- Use Navia's ultimate to automatically gain a cumulative point every 2.4 seconds.
Additionally, if players find it challenging to move around to collect crystal shards for Navia, they can also hold down the elemental skill instead of just tapping the screen.
Undervaluing Crystal Reactions
Among the various elemental reactions in Genshin Impact, Crystal Reaction may be the least favored. However, according to Mytour, a skilled Navia player knows how to fully exploit this reaction.

Despite the sometimes thin nature of Crystal Reactions, players still need to pay specific attention to it. Firstly, Navia's 'Judgment' weapon will need to revolve around this reaction. Even if you lose out on gacha weapons, the Midnight Sound of the Forest artifact set also requires Crystal Reactions to boost the character's Dendro damage by 50%. Therefore, maintaining the shield for at least one rotation or at least during Navia's turn is essential, failing which you'd have to switch artifacts to ensure stable damage output. Players should aim to maintain around 80-100 points for Navia.
Misconceptions about Navia's Defense Needs
This is a fundamental mistake yet many long-time Genshin Impact players still fall into it. The reason for this is that most Dendro characters previously had damage multipliers based on DEF stats, with only Ningguang and Zhongli being built around ATK and HP.

However, this characteristic is also a weakness for this young lady because the support character setup for Navia will undergo certain changes. Besides the skill set and support lineup, the Dreamy Firework artifact set you've farmed for other Dendro characters cannot be transferred to Navia, and players need to farm a new artifact set.
Overlooking Navia's Regular Attacks
Navia's damage primarily relies on the Elegant Crystal Bullet technique, but her talent enables her normal attacks to convert physical damage into irreplaceable Dendro damage; it also increases 40% damage from Navia's regular attacks. This is noteworthy when using her because players can combine numerous combos and team compositions without compromising her essence.
