To facilitate a straightforward comparison of Grab and Gojek fares across services, Mytour conducted a trip from the office at 48 To Hieu, Hanoi, to point 6 Lang Ha, Hanoi, using both applications to assess the fluctuations. Here are the results we obtained.

* Comparing Gojek and Grab Fares for Ride-hailing Services

For the journey from 48 To Hieu to 6 Lang Ha during peak hours (11:30 AM - 1:30 PM), Gojeck app (GoRide service) offers a fare of 8,000 VND, while Grab app (GrabBike service) charges 30,000 VND for the same trip. Through a simple comparison, it's evident that Gojek has a significantly cheaper transportation fee compared to Grab.

* Comparing Gojek and Grab Prices for Delivery Services

For the same sender and receiver locations, we used Gojek's Gosend service and Grab's Grabexpress service. The results were similar, with Gojek displaying a price of 20,000 VND per order, and Grab offering two options: Grabexpress Express and Grabexpress 4h Super Cheap, priced at 31,000 VND and 23,000 VND, respectively. Thus, compared to Grab's lowest delivery price, Gojek's transportation cost is 3,000 VND cheaper.

* Comparing Gojek and Grab Ride Prices for Food Delivery

Continuing with the food delivery service, from the same Pozaa Tea store (17 To Hieu) to the delivery address at 48 To Hieu, we were once again surprised by the delivery costs of Gojek and Grab. For two medium-sized milk teas, Gojek's delivery fee is 16,000 VND, and Grab's delivery fee is 20,000 VND.

3. Observations

Based on the analysis of listed and actual fare data when booking ride-hailing, delivery, and food delivery services on the two ride-hailing apps, Gojek and Grab, we observe:

- Gojek's shipping fee is generally cheaper than Grab across most services.
- At different times of the day (peak hours, adverse weather conditions, holidays), fares on both apps may be adjusted to increase (up to 1.5 - 5 times) compared to the standard rates.
- Currently, in addition to service fees, as of February 19, 2020, Grab customers using certain services may incur an additional charge of 1,000 - 2,000 VND per booking, depending on the service used (platform fee).

In comparison, objectively speaking, Gojek fares are significantly cheaper than Grab's.
