I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to experience both the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 in a short time, so I'll use specialized performance benchmarking software like 3DMark Wild Life, AnTuTu Benchmark, GeekBench 5 to provide you with a more comprehensive overview of the power of this product duo. Before sharing the results, let me quickly outline the conditions for benchmarking:

• The device battery must be between 90 - 100% (battery below 90% will affect device performance).
• No charging during benchmarking.
• Run benchmarks 3 times and take the average result after 3 consecutive runs.
• Both devices are running iOS 16 and have a battery status of 100%.

First up is the GeekBench 5 software with the GPU Compute test, where we can see the superiority of the Apple A15 on the iPhone 14 compared to the previous generation (12,497 points versus 10,808 points). This somewhat indicates that Apple's addition of GPU cores to the new A15 chip on the iPhone has improved its graphics processing capabilities.

- GeekBench 5 (GPU Compute):

• iPhone 13: 10,808 points.
• iPhone 14: 12,497 points.

Nevertheless, the CPU processing speed of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 duo is not significantly different, as we can see in the single-core/multi-core test in GeekBench 5.

• iPhone 13: 1,716 points/4,584 points.
• iPhone 14: 1,730 points/4,500 points.

Next, in the AnTuTu Benchmark test, the A15 processor on the iPhone 14 continues to demonstrate its superiority with 833,198 points. Meanwhile, the iPhone 13 only achieves 787,511 points.

- AnTuTu Benchmark:

• iPhone 13: 787,511 points.
• iPhone 14: 833,198 points.

In the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme test, I noticed that the iPhone 13 seems to outperform the iPhone 14 slightly with a total score of 2,570 and an average FPS of 15.4. These numbers for the iPhone 14 are 2,424 points and 14.5 FPS respectively.

• iPhone 13: 2,570 total points, average FPS 15.4.
• iPhone 14: 2,424 total points, average FPS 14.5.

For the intense graphics test like 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test (automatically repeated 20 times), iPhone 14 demonstrates higher stability with 85% (while iPhone 13 only has 79.8%). This is further solidified when looking at the difference between the highest loop score and the lowest loop score. In iPhone 14, this difference is only 389 points (2,603 - 2,214 = 389 points), whereas for iPhone 13, it's 509 points.

All the numbers in the above test show that iPhone 14 will have better stability when handling heavy tasks (gaming, video editing, etc.) for a long time. Looking at the results below, we can see that the battery percentage of both iPhone models doesn't drop significantly after completing the test, with iPhone 14 dropping by 7% and iPhone 13 by 6%. Additionally, neither of these products experience overheating during the testing process, which could be considered a significant positive.

Besides performance benchmarks, I also took the opportunity to test the battery life of both iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 using the battery test standard from TGDĐ. For those who may have forgotten, the specific conditions of this test are as follows:

• Experience 4 rotating tasks including: Playing Arena of Valor (set up as shown below), watching YouTube, scrolling through Facebook, and using Chrome.

• Each task runs for 1 hour.
• Screen brightness: 100%.
• External speaker on at 50% volume.
• WiFi and social media notifications enabled.
• No power-saving mode, adaptive screen, GPS, or Bluetooth enabled.
• Drain from 100% to 0%.
• Both devices updated to iOS 16 and battery at 100%.

The results I obtained are as shown below:

Thus, the iPhone 14 provides longer continuous usage time with 8 hours and 5 minutes, about 30 minutes more than the iPhone 13 which lasts 7 hours and 29 minutes. Although Apple didn't focus much on the battery of the iPhone 14 at the launch event, we can see that the company has made significant optimizations (both hardware and software) to ensure longer device operation.

Comparing iPhone 13 with iPhone 14: Camera 

Here are the specific camera specifications for iPhone 14: 

• Main camera: 12 MP resolution, pixel size 1.9 µm, sensor size 26 mm, aperture ƒ/1.5, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). 
• Wide-angle camera: 12MP, size 13 mm, aperture ƒ/2.4, field of view 120°, 2x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom.
• Front camera: 12 MP, aperture ƒ/1.9. 

The camera specifications of iPhone 13 are: 

• Wide-angle camera: 12 MP resolution, aperture f/1.6, supports Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) technology, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
• Ultra-wide camera: 12 MP resolution, aperture f/2.4.
• Selfie camera: 12 MP resolution.

Apple has significantly upgraded the camera aspect of iPhone 14 by improving and adding a host of new photography features to the device. Most notably, enhancing low-light image quality, handling backlight situations, subject tracking in low-light conditions, increasing sensor size, and faster aperture,...

Thanks to these myriad features and improvements, photos taken with the iPhone 14 are poised to have better and more consistent quality across various shooting conditions. The images captured by the device will be sharper with more vibrant colors compared to its predecessor.

The front camera of the iPhone 14 has also received many upgrades with the new True Deep lens, subject tracking feature in low-light conditions, ... Additionally, the iPhone 14 has seen improvements in video stabilization with the addition of the Action Mode feature, enhancing anti-shake capabilities.

Despite having a main camera specification of just 12 MP, the image quality delivered by the iPhone 13 is far from mediocre! We conducted a camera review of the iPhone 13 and found that the device performs exceptionally well in most conditions.

The resulting images are highly realistic and detailed. Apple has also improved processing algorithms to ensure that skin tones in photos are no longer washed out as before. The wide-angle camera of the iPhone 13 also delivers excellent image quality, with improvements over the iPhone 12 in terms of color accuracy and detail.

When it comes to the camera aspect, I'll give credit to the iPhone 14, which is quite understandable given the significant upgrades it has received from Apple. However, if you don't need many new features and just want a sharp camera that performs well in all conditions, the iPhone 13 still easily meets your needs!

This technology enables the iPhone 14 to function like a satellite phone, allowing you to send messages even when there's no cellular signal or internet connection. Additionally, satellite connectivity helps the iPhone 14 send emergency signals to facilitate search and rescue activities more easily and connect with people around faster.

The iPhone 14 also features a traffic accident detection function.
