After sticking with around 20 megapixels for over 7 years, Canon broke the mold by unveiling the EOS 5DS and its variant, the EOS 5DS R, with a full-frame sensor boasting a whopping 50.6 megapixels. The only difference between the two new models is the absence of a low-pass filter on the 5DS R, enhancing image detail.
Canon EOS 5DS utilizes dual Digic 6 image processors with 61 AF points, including 41 cross-type points, and an RGB+IR metering sensor with 150,000 pixels and 252 zones. The camera can shoot continuously at 5 frames per second, capturing Full HD video at 30 frames per second.
