Both phones feature plastic backs, yet they exude a reassuring solidity when held. The Samsung Galaxy A72 128GB distributes its weight slightly better than the A52 5G. Despite the Galaxy A72 weighing 203g, slightly heavier than the 189g A52 5G, it feels remarkably comfortable in hand.
Both models in the A series retain essential ports such as the 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD card slot, with the added benefit of IP67 water and dust resistance.

While there are differences in screen size and some specifications, they do not significantly differentiate the devices. Both feature Super AMOLED displays and Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), with the Samsung Galaxy A72 boasting a 6.7-inch screen and the A52 5G sporting a 6.5-inch display. The 0.2-inch variance in screen size is negligible when considering the overall dimensions of the phones.
An interesting aspect in comparing the displays of these two phones is the refresh rate. Thus, based on the comparison above, both phones have their own advantages. The Samsung Galaxy A72 128GB offers a larger screen, a telephoto camera, and a bigger battery. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G features a more powerful chipset, 5G connectivity, and a brighter display.
In my personal opinion, I would prioritize choosing the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G model because of its lower price, and most importantly, the chipset is a crucial core factor of the phone. Besides, aspects such as size, battery, or camera, the A52 5G still performs very well, not inferior to the A72 in any aspect.
