On the occasion of the Qingming Festival, my parents took me back to our hometown to pay respects to our ancestors along with everyone in our lineage. I was very excited to visit the countryside and meet everyone. We rented a 4-seater car to travel to our village in Thai Nguyen, which is not in the city but in the hilly areas. On the way, I was impressed by the lush green tea hills and the towering coconut trees. Stepping onto the land of my homeland, breathing in the fresh air of the mountains and forests, I forgot all the fatigue of the long journey. Meeting my grandparents after a long time apart made me very happy and content. The Qingming feast in my village was very solemn, everyone spread out mats on the floor and sat together to eat, with many typical dishes such as mountain goat meat, wild boar, hill chicken, forest vegetables... I found them strange but very delicious. The next day, I went with my dad and uncles to pay respects at the graves. The graves of our ancestors are on different hills, each grave is in a different place, far apart. I accompanied my dad, and at each grave, he lit incense and introduced, this is the grave of my grandfather, that is the grave of my grandmother,... After finishing paying respects, my parents and I prepared to go home.
