Inspirational Encounter
Just as I arrived home, I eagerly stowed my bag and dashed to find my mother. Today, something fascinating happened at school, and as soon as I spotted my mom, I rushed into her embrace:
- Hi, Mom! I'm back.
My mom gently patted my head and said:
- Hello, dear. Why are you back late today?
- Mom, today I had a really interesting experience at school. Could you sit down, and I'll tell you all about it?
Then, I began narrating the morning's story to my mom:
This morning, on the way to school, my friend Lan and I encountered a foreigner. She had fair skin, deep blue eyes, and blonde hair. She was tall, and from her appearance, we guessed she was a foreigner. She kept glancing east and west, seemingly anxious. Initially, we were worried, fearing our English might not be enough to help her, but we still approached her.
Utilizing our shared English proficiency, we discovered that she had been in a car accident, her car was damaged, and she had an urgent appointment. We felt a bit anxious, but eventually, we ran to get disinfectant, antiseptic, and bandages for her. We even guided her to Mr. Hoat's nearby auto repair shop, Mom. She was so grateful, holding our hands and thanking us profusely.
When it was time for class, we were even more surprised. Do you know what happened, Mom? - I excitedly told my mom.
Whenever my mom smiled gently, stroking my head, and said:
- Go on, tell me more.
The foreigner we helped, as it turns out, is our English teacher, Mrs. Maria. She will start teaching us from this term. I was so surprised, Mom. After the class, she met us, smiled warmly, praised us for being good, and thanked us again.
Listening to my story, my mom finally smiled, embraced me, and said:
- My beloved, I'm so proud of you. Your actions reflect the friendship of our children with friends worldwide.
