Utilizing Passive Voice in Writing Practice
Exercise 1: Rewrite the following sentence.
No woman has ever loved him. → This is a passive construction.
He has never been loved by any woman. → This is a passive sentence.
While interchanging active and passive sentences may not be wrong, it lacks coherence in content.
Exercise 2: Rewrite the given sentence.
Hint for passive voice:

→ Purpose: Highlighting the name and talent of Nam Cao.
II. USING THE FORM OF SENTENCE WITH AN INITIAL CLAUSE

- Initial clause: The house
- Transforming initial clause into modifier: The silk-weaving house still exists.

- “From myself” serves as the beginning phrase
- At the beginning of the sentence, before the subject.
- Indication: There's a comma after the introductory phrase.

- “Sensations, self-feelings, emotional life.” serves as the introductory phrase
- At the beginning of the sentence, before the subject.
- Indication: There's a pause indicated by a comma
III. USING SENTENCES WITH ADVERBIALS OF SITUATION
