Lenovo Thinkbook 14 is a product in the Thinkbook line by the brand Lenovo. It garnered significant popularity upon its release, being a well-suited laptop for office tasks. Let's explore its design, display quality, and performance.
Sleek and robust design
The ThinkBook 14 features an extremely minimalist design with a smooth silver aluminum finish. Its angular, square shape and masculine appeal are inherited from the premium ThinkPad line. The laptop can be opened up to 180 degrees for easy angle adjustment. It's a pity that it can't be opened with one hand, as such a feature would enhance convenience during usage.
Although not as thin and light as newer laptop models, the ThinkBook 14 still boasts a relatively slim and lightweight exterior, measuring 326mm x 230mm x 17.9mm in three dimensions. It weighs 1.5kg. However, putting it in a backpack for portability remains hassle-free.
Lenovo has generously equipped the ThinkBook 14 with a multitude of connectivity ports. On the left side, you'll find 1 Ethernet port, 1 HDMI port, 1 USB-A 3.1 port, and 1 3.5mm jack. On the right side, there's 1 standard square DC power port, 1 USB-A 3.1 port, 1 full-size SD card slot, and 1 Hidden Port.

Screen with 100% sRGB IPS technology
The screen of the laptop is equipped with a 14.1-inch Full HD 1920x1080px display. The IPS panel provides a wide 178-degree viewing angle. With 100% sRGB color gamut coverage and a contrast ratio of up to 300 units, this is an excellent choice for an office laptop. Additionally, there's a secondary 5.5-inch Full HD+ 2160x1080px touchscreen display.
I particularly like this design as it allows for easy data referencing.
The ultra-thin bezels around the screen optimize the usage space. The screen is also equipped with a tempered glass panel covering the entire screen to protect the inner panel and provide excellent dust resistance. Overall, the screen quality surpasses expectations given its price point.

Standard Keyboard and Touchpad
The keyboard of the Thinkbook 14 provides a comfortable, precise typing experience without generating loud, bothersome noise. The keyboard color is designed to match the machine's tone, creating a seamless block. Keys are logically arranged, with a slightly shallow key travel and fairly good feedback. The keyboard also features LED backlighting to assist with working in low-light conditions.
Touchpad and 5.5-inch ScreenPad provide a comfortable and spacious mouse navigation experience. What I particularly like is the ability to observe when switching to the Mini PC function for use. However, I feel that the touchpad's finish is still not quite up to par; Lenovo could definitely do better in this price range.
The machine's performance is suitable for office tasks
The configuration I'm using is the 10th Gen Intel Core i5 Ice Lake 1035G chip with a speed of 1.00 GHz, 8GB DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, and a 512GB SSD. I find that all basic office tasks are handled quickly and smoothly. What impresses me is how fast the laptop boots up, taking about 3-5 seconds from pressing the power button to starting up to the main screen.

In addition, the machine supports RAM upgrades, M.2 SSD upgrades, and 2.5 SSD upgrades. If you're performing office tasks, web browsing, entertainment (typing, music), and basic photo editing, choose 4GB - 8GB of RAM. If you need to play light online games, edit photos, or videos extensively, upgrade to 8GB - 16GB. If you need to play games using graphics-intensive applications or require a large amount of RAM, choose upgrades above 16GB. The maximum upgrade capacity is up to 40GB. The Lenovo ThinkBook 14 is truly a business laptop. It's a solid, reliable laptop that performs well for a wide range of workloads, from moderate to high performance. It's perfectly suited for working environments from offices to factories, warehouses, and on the go. The machine comes at a very reasonable price and is easily accessible to a wide range of users.
