From the much-anticipated mixed AR/VR headset to new Mac machines and software updates like iOS 17, here's what Apple revealed at the WWDC 2023 event.
As announced earlier, Apple hosted the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2023) last night to officially unveil the new features of its next-gen operating systems: iOS 17, watchOS 10, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, and macOS Sonoma.
In addition, the company brought some surprises for users by introducing new hardware products, including the Apple Vision Pro AR glasses, brand-new 15-inch MacBook Air, updated Mac Pro, and Mac Studio. In this article, let's recap the hardware and software products introduced by Apple at the WWDC 2023 event.

Apple Vision Pro AR Glasses
After much speculation, Apple has finally unveiled its Vision Pro augmented reality glasses. This product allows users to engage in both virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experiences, designed to blend the real and digital worlds for both wearers and those around them. The main interface displays real-world apps for the wearer, while those nearby can see the wearer's eyes through the device thanks to the external display feature called EyeSight.

This device is powered by two chips: the M2 and the new R1 chip to handle real-time sensor processing. According to Apple, the Vision Pro has a single lens array on the front of the device, along with a digital crown button to enable AR and VR. It also supports spatial audio through integrated speakers and an external battery pack capable of extending usage by 2 hours with a single charge.
The Vision Pro comes with an attractive price tag of $3,499 and will only hit shelves next year.

Apple's Vision Pro augmented reality glasses will run on an entirely new operating system called visionOS. This allows the device to layer virtual apps and icons onto the real world, enabling you to use eye tracking, hand gestures, and voice commands to navigate the system.

As Apple outlined at WWDC, you'll be able to use Apple's Vision Pro augmented reality glasses to interact with the company's native apps, such as Safari, FaceTime, Photos, Music, and more. You can even use the device as an external monitor for your Mac to play games on Apple Arcade, watch movies, and record videos.
15-inch MacBook Air gets bigger
In addition to the Vision Pro augmented reality glasses, Apple also unveiled a new MacBook Air with a 15.3-inch display. It's a significant upgrade for the MacBook Air lineup, which has only had a 13-inch display until now.

Apple is marketing this device as the world's thinnest 15-inch laptop and claims it weighs just over 1.36kg. The device boasts up to 18 hours of battery life, a brightness of 500 nits, and a 1080p webcam. It is priced at $1,299 and will hit shelves next week.
