In some urgent situations, you may not have had the chance to install file compression software, or they might be malfunctioning, forcing you to compress and extract using the default software on Windows 10. 1. Compressing a Single File
For individual files that need to be compressed, you simply Right-click on the file and select Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder.
2. Compressing multiple files
Compressing multiple files is a straightforward process, much like compressing individual files. First, you need to select the files you want to compress (Hold Ctrl + Left-click to select multiple files). Then, Right-click and select Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder.
3. Compressing an entire folder
To compress an entire Folder, you need to select the Folder and Right-click, then choose Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder.

This is a method of compressing files online through the Windows 10 operating system, so we still have certain limitations. Therefore, you need to pay attention to the following things to avoid errors:
- File and folder names should not be written in Vietnamese; they must be written in plain text.
- There is no limit to the file or folder size when compressing.
II. Unzipping Files without Software on Windows 10
After compressing files, they will have a Folder with a padlock icon and the .Zip extension. Now, to access these files, you have 02 options:
1. Direct Unzipping on the System
Simply Right-click on the compressed file and select Extract All…
Then, all the data within that compressed file will be extracted.
2. Unzipping using Windows Explorer
Right-click on the compressed file and choose Open With -> Windows Explorer.
Then, all the data within that compressed file will be extracted.
