Dubbed as the paradise on earth, Con Dao boasts numerous pristine and unspoiled beaches, offering breathtaking scenery. It feels like every corner of the island is a perfect spot for capturing stunning photos.
Con Dao Travel, the Must-Visit Destination This Summer

- Best time to visit Con Dao: March, April lunar calendar – August lunar calendar. During this time, the sea is calm, less likely to experience seasickness. If traveling during rough sea conditions, seasickness is highly probable.
* Must-visit attractions for Instagram-worthy shots:
- Nhát Beach: A very long beach with fine white sand, still untouched. From Ben Dam port (where the ferry docks) to the town center. This stretch is about 12km long, offering views of Mui Cap Map, many beautiful beaches, including Nhát Beach.
An Hai Beach: This beach is right in front of Con Dao Camping and Seatravel. The water is clear with no rocks at the bottom.
Central Beach: Similar to An Hai Beach. These two beaches are about 1km apart.
Limestone Lime Beach: This beach is also beautiful but I haven't had a chance to visit yet.
Ong Dung Beach: Perfect for sunset photos and shooting against the sunlight. The view of the three-level path down to this beach is amazing, like a pristine forest. Going down is easy and refreshing, but after all the photo-taking, climbing back up can be exhausting. So, consider carefully before heading down to this beach.

Dam Trau Beach: The road from the town center to this beach is about 14km north of the island, passing by Lime Beach and the beautiful Six Senses resort. This is also the road to Co Ong Airport. When you arrive at this beach, it may seem ordinary at first, but if you're willing to climb over the black rock outcrop, you'll discover the magical sight of a pristine beach with clear blue water and white sand. It's quite fascinating to see planes landing here every few minutes because Co Ong Airport is right near Dam Trau Beach.

Van Son Pagoda: Climb the three-level staircase to this pagoda to enjoy the view of Con Dao.
Lotus Lake near Van Son Pagoda and Phi Yen Goddess Temple: The path between the two lotus lakes is truly enchanting.
Historical landmarks such as Phu Hai Prison, French Tiger Cages, American Tiger Cages, and Bridge 914.
Late at night, at midnight, go to burn incense at Hang Duong Cemetery.
Especially, the streets in Con Dao feel like every square meter has 80 Instagrammable spots.

* Cost:
There are two ways to get to the island, as I've traveled both, I'm quite familiar with them: 1/ By plane:
From Tan Son Nhat Airport (Saigon) to Co Ong Airport (Con Dao Airport). From here to the town center is about 14km. The road passes by Six Senses Resort.
Round-trip ticket prices never go below 2.5 million VND, even if booked well in advance. At times, it can go up to over 3 million VND per round-trip ticket.

Ticket price for CD 09 boat: Sitting seat 85VND, Sleeping bed 150VND.
Boat CD 10: Sitting seat 150VND, Sleeping bed 200VND.
The road from Ben Dam Port to the town center is about 12km. This road passes by Nhat Beach and Shark Cape.

Motorbike: 100VND / bike / day
There are many hotels, ranging from 300,000VND to 400,000VND per night (depending on the hotel). In addition, Con Dao has the lovely Uyen’s House homestay, with very reasonable prices, but rooms often get fully booked far in advance. Additionally, Con Dao Camping is also very beautiful.

Dining: There are plenty of delicious eateries, but the most recommended is Nho Oi restaurant on Pham Hung Street, near the Con Dao District Committee, with great prices. They serve dishes like squid cakes, seafood, hotpot, stir-fried dishes, and more.
What to buy as souvenirs: dried sesame seeds, squid cakes, dried fish...
