During the installation of the operating system on VMware Workstation - virtual machine software, USB is not automatically recognized and utilized within the virtual machine. As a result, users encounter difficulties when attempting to use USB for data transfer.

Step 1: Start VMware Workstation and the operating system on the virtual machine. Connect the USB to the computer. Click on the icon as shown below.
Step 2: Continue by clicking on Connect (Disconnect from Host).
Step 3: A dialog box appears, click on OK. Now you can use USB on the virtual machine.
If you no longer wish to use it, click on the icon like in Step 1 and select Disconnect (Connect to host), then proceed to safely remove the USB from the host computer.
