Conquering Son Doong Cave: 2,900 Adventurers in 5 Years

The world's largest cave, Son Doong, concluded its exploration period in 2018. After a 5-month break and restoration, it prepared for the 2019 expedition season.
In 2018, with a four-day, three-night itinerary, the main route to conquer Son Doong Cave welcomed 873 participants, including 290 from the United States and 154 from Vietnam.
Since its first exploration in August 2013, more than 2,900 successful conquerors have ventured into Son Doong Cave.
Quang Binh boasts nearly 400 caves, ranging from small to large. Currently, around 40 caves are open for tourism, including some with restricted access such as Son Doong Cave, Swallow Cave, and more.
