Essay:
As the old man uttered an excessive wish for his wife to become the Dragon King, the golden fish responded with silent sways of its tail, disappearing into the depths of the sea. Returning home disappointed, the old man witnessed a familiar scene - his wife seated by the cracked pig trough, a routine from days of yore.
After a considerable period, the old couple had amassed wealth from the healthy pigs and the sea fish bestowed upon them. One day, the old man encountered the golden fish again. The golden fish gazed intently at him, while he smiled warmly and said, 'Thank you, golden fish. You've helped my wife and me become benevolent individuals, creating prosperity with our own hands. Through this, everything has become steadfast.' The golden fish replied, 'In gratitude for your salvation, which I have yet to fully repay, speak your desires, and I shall assist you in settling the debt from days past!' This time, the old man didn't rush home to consult his wife, nor did he hesitate. He simply replied, 'I need nothing; thank you, golden fish.' With that, he bid farewell to the golden fish and returned to his humble abode with his meager fishing net. Yet, in his heart, he felt immense joy, realizing that human greed would never lead to contentment. It is the toil of working hands that truly builds everything.
