By Train:
Trains were once a popular choice before the advent of air travel. Journeying by train offers a safe way to admire Vietnam's breathtaking landscapes. While train travel may take longer than flying, it is a more budget-friendly option.

Traveling from Hanoi to Nha Trang by train takes approximately 24-28 hours, while from Ho Chi Minh City, it's about 8-10 hours. Prices vary depending on the class of train cabin. From Nha Trang station to the city center is also very close, only about 10-15 minutes away. You can purchase train tickets online or at the station to avoid buying fake tickets.
Book train tickets on the official website of Vietnam Railways.

By Bus:
Buses are the most economical means of transportation to Nha Trang. However, they are more suitable for travelers from neighboring provinces such as Phu Yen, Ninh Thuan, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, and Ho Chi Minh City. Particularly, travelers from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang by bus take about 8-10 hours, with many reputable and quality bus companies to choose from. Ticket prices from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang are also very affordable, starting from 200,000-300,000 VND per person.

Local Transportation:
After arriving in Nha Trang, you'll need suitable local transportation. There are plenty of options for getting around in the city to cater to your travel needs.
Scooter:
In our Vietnam, scooters are always the most convenient and suitable means of transportation. You can rent a scooter and explore the city freely. The rental price for a scooter is also very affordable, ranging from 50,000 to 200,000 VND per day. You can easily rent a scooter at your hotel or from many rental shops throughout the city.

Taxi:
You can easily hail a taxi while on the road or ask your hotel to call one for you. However, taxi fares can be quite high, so it may not be suitable for budget travel.

Rideshare:
Today, ridesharing services like motorcycle taxis and technology-based taxis are quite popular. With ride-hailing apps, you can easily book a ride from anywhere, especially in major cities where booking a ride is even easier. The fare depends on the distance and peak hours. However, the downside of ridesharing is that it can be difficult to get a ride during peak hours or bad weather days.

Boat and Canoe:
Nha Trang tourism is also famous for its stunning islands and bays. The only way to reach these islands is by boat and canoe. Most of these boats depart from Cau Da port. There are both speedboats and wooden boats ranging from 12 to 49 seats for you to choose from.
