1. Using the Desaturate Tool
To swiftly convert images from color to black and white, utilize the Desaturate feature by accessing the menu Image => Adjustments => Desaturate. Alternatively, you can use the shortcut Shift + Ctrl + U for faster operation.
Afterward, our image quickly transitions to black and white.
2. Utilize the Black & White Functionality
Step 1: Duplicate the original layer for future adjustments. Begin by right-clicking on Layer Background => Duplicate Layer...
Then, press OK to generate a new copy layer.
Step 1: Click on the Image (1) menu, then select Mode (2) followed by Grayscale (3).
Step 2: If a notification appears as shown below, click on Flatten.
Another notification will appear, click on Discard.

4. Utilize the Hue/Saturation feature
Step 1: Access the Image (1) menu => Adjustments (2) => Hue/Saturation... (3). Alternatively, use the shortcut Ctrl + U to quickly open this tool.
Step 2: Drag the Saturation (1) slider all the way to the left to decrease color saturation. Then click OK (2) to save.
