Corsica is an island of France located in the Mediterranean, bordering between France and Italy, thus its culture bears many elements of both French and Italian. It is also the homeland of the most brilliant and talented king of France – Napoleon Bonaparte.
Corsica Island: A Step Closer to Paradise

Corsica Island is one of the few places in France that has preserved its traditional language, although nowadays this language has been influenced by both French and Italian.

On the island, there is a national park that gathers rare and endangered species of flora and fauna such as Corsican mouflon, Corsican red deer. Moreover, Corsica is home to some other special species like Sitta whiteheadi, Corsican red grouse, Corsican stream frog, along with many other diverse plant species.

The great emperor Napoleon Bonaparte was born in 1769 in the capital city of Ajaccio on Corsica Island. The house of his ancestors has now become a museum for visitors to explore.

Corsica Island captivates tourists with its friendly locals, characteristic Mediterranean climate. Besides, Corsica also boasts many exotic and pristine landscapes, ideal resorts, and rugged terrains suitable for adventurous sports activities.

Apart from the three major port cities of Bastia, Ajaccio, and Calvi, Corsica also features numerous charming towns and quaint ancient villages. The road connecting the cities traverses vast vineyards, olive groves, palm trees, and endless pine forests.

The beaches on Corsica Island are renowned as some of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean region, impressing visitors with their natural and unspoiled beauty.

Known for its proud heritage, locals hesitantly refrain from labeling Corsica as one of the world's most beautiful tourist destinations. However, they jokingly remark amongst themselves that this charming island is indeed the final stepping stone to paradise in the temperate zone.
