Will Apple introduce a new iMac Pro lineup? (Photo: The Teal Mango)Following the introduction of the Mac Studio and Studio Display by Apple, along with signs of a large-screen silicon iMac in its product roadmap, could Apple unveil a new iMac Pro model?
Five years ago, Apple introduced the iMac Pro - touted at the time as the 'most powerful Mac ever made.' In March 2021, Apple announced they would discontinue the iMac Pro. At that time, it was overshadowed by the 2019 Mac Pro, 2020 27-inch iMac, and Apple's first Mac Silicon machines.

In April 2021, Apple introduced the 24-inch iMac, the first All-In-One computer running on the Apple Silicon M Series chip. Apple discontinued the Intel-based 27-inch iMac in March 2022, leaving the silicon iMac as the only AIO device in Apple's product lineup.
Display analyst Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants has stated since 2021 that Apple is developing a 27-inch mini-LED iMac with ProMotion support, but rumors about this device have faded since the introduction of the Mac Studio and Studio Display in March this year.

Consequently, the position of the Mac Studio in Apple's product line has raised doubts that there simply is 'no room' for the iMac Pro anymore. Other reports suggest that Apple has no immediate plans to release a new iMac Pro or larger-screen iMac.
However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that a new iMac Pro will be introduced in 2023 along with a new Mac Pro, as confirmed by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. Earlier this year, Gurman suggested that Apple is continuing to develop a premium iMac model.
It's still unclear whether Apple will indeed bring back the iMac Pro or not (Photo: Apple)Apart from a rumor from Young explaining that the iMac Pro will feature a mini-LED display not as good as the iPad Pro or MacBook Pro, there is very little other information about the machine's features. It seems that a 27-inch mini-LED display with ProMotion options, Apple M3 Pro and M3 Max chips, and a range of ports borrowed from the MacBook Pro are expected to be equipped on this iMac Pro model.
