The latest chapter's developments have left fans in a state of turmoil as Kawaki has regained the Karma seal and is delivering potentially fatal blows to Boruto.
Boruto manga is reaching its climax with a series of intense and suspenseful events. In the previous chapter 65, we witnessed Kawaki's return with the Karma seal, indicating his regained strength to protect Naruto.
On the other hand, Momoshiki resurfaces within Boruto's body. Previously, Boruto, with the help of Amado's medication, could temporarily control his Karma. However, its side effects caused excruciating pain and eventually led to Momoshiki taking over his body completely.
The recent developments in chapter 66 have left fans even more distressed as they observe Kawaki's transformation. It turns out Amado secretly reinstated the Karma seal while repairing Kawaki's right hand. Subsequently, Amado made Kawaki feel as though he was ready to wield that power. As predicted, when Boruto fell victim to Momoshiki, Kawaki immediately awakened his own power, surprising even himself.
Following this, a battle ensues between Borushiki and Kawaki. At this moment, Kawaki, with more experience in Karma usage, could overpower Borushiki. Boruto then apologizes to Naruto and sends his greetings to Hinata and Himawari. Despite Naruto trying to restrain Boruto from approaching Kawaki, Boruto uses the Fuuton: Reppushou technique to push him away. Boruto is ready to sacrifice himself, asking Kawaki to kill him. Kawaki then uses his most dangerous technique, enlarging his right arm and piercing through Boruto's body. It shocks Naruto and everyone immensely.
The chapter concludes with Boruto falling down unconscious in a pool of blood. This leaves fans extremely anxious about Boruto's condition. However, through this action, Boruto has proven himself mature, willing to sacrifice himself to protect his loved ones.
