1. Cooldown and Attack Range of Rocket Grab
Always pay attention to your position as the first tip to counter Blitzcrank. The more you play against Blitzcrank, the better you anticipate the terrifying attack range of Rocket Grab. By blocking effectively and taking advantage of the 20s cooldown of this ability, not only can you protect your life but also apply pressure on Blitzcrank.
Once accustomed to the range of those hooks, dodging them becomes much easier. Standing behind minions or in a strategic position that is challenging for Blitzcrank to reach can make this robot struggle far more than you anticipate.
2. Choose Champions to Counter Blitzcrank in League of Turbo Battle
2.1. Utilize Braum and Alistar to Resist Blitzcrank
Given the current limited champion pool, opting for a support champion with better resilience like Braum or Alistar is ideal. 'Squishy' champions like Soraka, Sona, and Seraphine are susceptible to being caught and taken down easily by Blitzcrank.
When Alistar reaches level 5, being caught by Blitzcrank is no longer a major concern for him as he can become immune to crowd control effects and reduce damage with his ultimate ability. At level 3, Alistar can threaten Blitz by using the basic combo along with the Ignite summoner spell.
Braum is also a good choice to deal with Blitzcrank. His basic stats can help him sustain and he can leap back to the ADC using his Stand Behind Me ability if Blitzcrank initiates with Rocket Grab.
Although Malphite, Jarvan IV, and Gragas are not typically seen as support champions in League of Legends, they are solid choices to counter Blitz. They have enough durability, and at level 5, they can engage more effectively than Blitzcrank. Gragas can even dodge Rocket Grab with his Body Slam ability or target the enemy ADC in specific situations.
2.2. Use Janna and Nami for additional movement speed
If you're confident, opt for Janna and Nami as they can deal damage and provide movement speed to help ADC survive skillful attacks. Lux is a suitable choice if you decide to play aggressively because of her superior attack range, damage output, and ability to poke more effectively than Blitz.
2.3. Choose a highly mobile ADC
In addition to support champions with good durability like Braum and Alistar, you can also choose ADCs with high mobility such as:
* Ezreal
The most potent damage-dealing champion to counter Blitz in League of Legends is Ezreal. Alongside his third skill - Arcane Shift, Ezreal's key item, Iceborn Gauntlet, provides a slowing effect, enabling him to deal damage if he can dodge Blitz's Rocket Grab.
* Vayne
