The latest CPU-Z 1.86 update enables checking of Intel's 9900K, 9700K, 9600K, 9600, 9500, and 9400 processors. While the software update does not specify whether these processors belong to the Core i5 or Core i7 series, it is evident that the 8400 is one of the members of the 8th generation 'Coffee Lake' Core i5 family, allowing us to infer that at least some of the processors listed above belong to the higher-end Core i5 and i7 series.
