The poem 'Vietnam, our homeland' by author Nguyen Dinh Thi has deeply resonated with me about the nature and Vietnamese people. At the beginning of the poem, the peaceful scenery of the homeland appears beautifully. The vast rice fields affirm the richness and abundance across the countryside. The author's pen continues to depict the majestic and romantic Truong Son mountain range. All these scenes vividly portray the lush natural landscape, the friendly scenery of our country. Particularly, prominent amidst the scenery are the figures of the Vietnamese people with their noble qualities, beautiful characteristics. They are the farmers who 'sell their faces to the land, their backs to the sky', hardworking and diligent in their work. They are the image of a united people, resilient and brave in fighting against foreign invaders. Not only that, they are also loyal and steadfast 'love whoever loves wholeheartedly'. With simple, rustic language, combined with literary devices such as comparison 'The hands of people seem to have magical powers', metaphor 'vast sea of rice fields', the poet has successfully portrayed the beauty of nature and people of our country. Through this, I feel even more love, appreciation for the simple things that the S-shaped land has bestowed upon us.
