No matter how strong and resilient you are, there are times when you feel soft and vulnerable, craving warmth. And you will realize that your heart always longs to be loved
Life isn't as long as you think. No matter how strong and resilient you are, there are moments when your heart feels tender, needing care. Can you walk alone on the path of life without anyone by your side?

Perhaps all those who are 'afraid to love' like me have their own reasons. It could be deep wounds from a profound past love, leaving the heart fragile, unwilling to open up, afraid of more pain. But sometimes, it's because of loving someone deeply but not receiving love in return, feeling incapable of loving someone else. And it could also be because of being alone for too long, getting used to a solitary life, afraid to bind oneself to invisible threads of emotions. And because of one of these things, I am 'afraid to love'
Now, I find myself detached, indifferent to my own feelings. I'm reluctant to share my thoughts with anyone special, not bothering about those pursuing me. Several guys pass through my life, I don't hold onto them. Is it because my hands lack strength or my heart refuses? I've created a barrier to shield myself, to protect my own emotions and also to 'avoid love'. Perhaps even I am not aware of it, but I always know how to defend my own space, no one can intrude into my private world. So, I remain lonely, wandering in my own world.

But dear, do you truly not want someone by your side to share joys and sorrows, to sit and listen to your endless stories about trivial things in life, willing to do silly things just to make you smile, and to provide a sturdy shoulder for you to lean on when you're tired? So, try opening up, my dear, let someone deserving step into your world. If you can't heal the wounds engraved deep in your heart, give others the chance to help soothe your pains. That person will give you a new sense of true love, show you that this world isn't as daunting as you think because difficulties always have someone to walk through them with you. And let yourself know that your heart is still waiting to be loved.

Don't force yourself to hide the sadness within you and the loneliness reflected in your eyes anymore. Learn to cry when you want to cry and laugh heartily when you're happy. Don't pretend to be strong, accept help from those who care about you. Take a stroll down the street with a guy who seems alright to you. Share your worries with those who always listen to you. Bit by bit, love will fill up, and you will love.
