I. Structure of a narrative text
- At the top of the text, write the country's name and motto (centered).
- Next, write the location and time of writing the narrative text (top right corner).
- The title of the narrative text is written in the center. The line above should have the phrase 'NARRATIVE TEXT' (in capital letters), and the line below should have: Regarding...
- Below the title, write the name of the person or organization receiving the narrative text after the phrase Yours sincerely.
- Provide information about the writer of the narrative text (name; title; position; educational or work unit,...) which can start with the phrase My name is... or I am...
- Write the main content: summarize the event with full information about the time, location, relevant individuals, causes, developments, consequences, and responsible parties.
- State the commitment to objectivity and honesty of the narrative text content along with promises or requests to the person (organization) handling the issue.
- Finally, the writer of the narrative text signs and writes their full name.

My name is Nguyen Mai Phuong, a student of class 7A, Nguyen Du Middle School, I would like to report an incident as follows:
On the morning of May 10th, 2022, I rode my bicycle to school and parked it at the school's parking lot. When parking, I received a parking ticket from the security guard. However, when school ended in the late afternoon, I couldn't find my bike even though all my classmates had left. I still have the parking ticket and reported the lost bike to the security guard for assistance in finding it.
I solemnly affirm that what I reported is true. I hope the teachers and the School Board will help me find my bicycle.
