The River of My Homeland
The River Đáy of my homeland
Water of four seasons, verdant
Boats docking at each shore
On the riverbank.
Faintly beneath the river
Fish dance in schools
Snails sleep beneath the rocks
Clams watch water hyacinths float by.
In the pink morning light
Clouds linger behind the mountain
Wind carries the scent of fresh strawberries
To the vast river.
