II. VOCABULARY AND SENTENCES IN A PARAGRAPH
1. Theme Vocabulary and Topic Sentences in a Paragraph
a. “Ngô Tất Tố, he, writer, His main work” 🡪 These terms serve to maintain the theme of the paragraph.
b. Turning off the light is Ngô Tất Tố's most representative work 🡪 This is the topic sentence, meaning pivotal in paragraph 2. Because it generalizes the content of the entire paragraph.

2. Presentation Styles of Paragraph Content

- Second paragraph: Presented in a deductive style, the topic sentence is at the end of the paragraph.
- Third paragraph: Presented in an explanatory style, the topic sentence is at the beginning of the paragraph summarizing the entire content of the paragraph.

Furthermore, our people have shown tremendous resilience in two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, achieving triumph. Not long after, he passed the Trạng Nguyên examination, earning respect from society. It can be said that failure is the mother of success; failure gives us more determination to strive and make efforts. Only through failure can we achieve success in life.
