Nature's Affection Evoked through the Character 'I' in 'With Eyes Closed, Windows Open'
Greetings, everyone. Here, I present my insights on the affection for nature evoked through the character 'I' in 'With Eyes Closed, Windows Open'
Exploring the Character 'I'’s Perception of Nature in the excerpt has brought profound contemplation on my relationship with the natural world. As we know, nature and humanity have been intertwined since time immemorial. Nature encompasses everything present in the natural environment around us, from tiny materials to large entities like ponds, lakes, rivers, streams, planets, ... So why do we need to love nature? Nature is a precious resource bestowed upon humanity by creation, providing us with the essential needs of life: water, air,... When amidst nature, we feel tranquil and serene.
The love for nature is manifested through the thoughts and actions of each individual. It is about appreciating and being grateful for what nature brings to us. Loving nature also means living in harmony with it, expanding the soul to harmonize. We always strive to keep nature green, clean, and beautiful through concrete, practical actions such as: planting trees for afforestation, building waste treatment plants,... or small acts like disposing of waste properly, sorting waste before putting it in the trash. All of these actions express genuine love for nature, enhancing life and human souls.
However, nowadays, nature is being devastated day by day due to human exploitation. Alongside those who are environmentally conscious, there are still some indifferent, insensitive individuals, recklessly destroying nature. This is evidenced by actions such as: illegal logging, electric fishing, dumping waste into ponds, lakes, wasteful use of water,... These are condemnable actions that need to be stopped.
Each of us needs to nurture a love for nature. Protecting nature is protecting human life.
