1. Writing a Letter to a Friend at Another School, Sample 1:
Dear Quynh,
Since you transferred schools, I've missed you a lot. Today, with some free time on my hands, I hurried to write you this letter to check in and tell you about what's been happening at our school.
Quynh! How have you been lately? Are you keeping well? How's your studying going? Are you still the 'math whiz' of the class? Is your new school nice? Are the students there as united and cheerful as our class was last year? Is your family still as warm and happy as before?
We often talk about you and miss you a lot, Quynh! Do you remember Teacher Thuy who taught us in third grade? She still asks about you. This year, we have Teacher Linh. She's just as dedicated and caring towards students as Teacher Thuy was. We're all striving to achieve high scores to present to our teachers on Teacher's Day, November 20th. Oh, our school is organizing a Mid-Autumn Festival soon. If you're free, come join us at school. It'll be even more fun with you around.
Anyway, I'll stop here to study. Wishing you and your family good health always, and may you excel in your studies even more.
Your close friend,
2. Writing a Letter to a Friend at Another School, Sample 2:
Dear Duc Anh,
It's been almost half a year since we last saw each other, hasn't it? I miss you so much, so I decided to write you this letter. First of all, let me send my regards to your grandparents and little Quynh Nga! As for you, since moving back to Hanoi, has your schooling settled down? Have you made any new friends?
Now, let me tell you about our old class and school. I'm happy to report that our 3A class is now fully present in 4A. What's even better is that Teacher Thuy continues to be our homeroom teacher, so she understands each student very well, and her support is very effective. There are no weak students in our group 2 anymore. The atmosphere of academic competition is lively, and the most noteworthy thing is that all 10 members of our group have been admitted to the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization.
