Photoshop possesses numerous tools to help you edit images, design, collage photos, or simply create unique effects with text. However, not everyone is familiar with all these tricks. In this article, Mytour will guide you on how to create molten fire text effects using Photoshop software.
Creating Melted Fire Text in Photoshop
Step 1: Preparation
- Create a new page in Photoshop (Ctrl+N) with dimensions 500x1000px, resolution set to 300 dpi, and a black background.
- Choose the Pieces NFI font. Download: Full Font
Use the Type tool (T) to insert a line of text. Here, I'm entering the text Betdownload and using the Pieces NFI font for a flowing text effect (color #c85014)
Step 2: Right-click on the text layer (Betdownload) and select Blending Options. In the Inner Glow section, choose the color #eadfa2 and configure as shown in the image.
In the Inner Shadow section, choose the color #a9984a and configure as shown in the image.
Navigate to the Bevel & Emboss section and configure as shown in the illustration.
- Gloss Contour: Choose Shallow Slope – Valley.
- Highlight Mode: Pick the color #ffffff
- Shadow Mode: Select the color #c7b299
Note: In case you can't find Shallow Slope – Valley under Gloss Contour, go to Contour and press Append.
Navigate to the Contour section and configure as shown in the image. Under Contour, choose Cone – Asymmetrical.

Step 3: Press Shift+Ctrl+N to create a new layer. In that layer, select the Brush tool (B) and configure as shown in the image.
Use the Brush tool (B) to create bright areas around the letters.
Go to Blending Options/Color Overlay and choose the color #ffcc00, simultaneously reduce the layer's Opacity to 50%.
Step 4: Find an image of flames and open it in Photoshop.
Go to Window/Channels to open the Channels tab, then Ctrl+left-click on the Red layer.
Sequentially press Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V to copy and paste it onto our working page, naming it 'Fire'.
Switch the 'Fire' layer to Light color mode.
Next, use the Eraser Tool (E) with the following settings to remove excess parts, making the flames look more realistic.
