Preparation
Before proceeding with the steps to dictate text on Google Docs and Google Translate, ensure you have all the necessary equipment to support voice dictation effectively, including:
- Computer/smartphone
- Connect your computer with headphones equipped with a microphone (for computers without a built-in microphone)
- A Gmail account is necessary to access Google Docs service. If you don't have one, refer to how to sign up for Gmail here.
1. Composing text using voice on Google Docs
Step 1: Go to Google Docs HERE and log in to your Gmail account.
Step 2: Set Google Docs language to Vietnamese by selecting File ->Language, then choose Vietnamese.
Step 3: Next, select Tools and choose Voice typing... to begin composing text using voice on Google Docs.
Step 4: You'll notice the microphone icon appear on the Google Docs editing panel. If the language displayed above this icon is not Vietnamese, click on it and switch to Vietnamese.
Step 5: Then, to start composing text using voice on Google Docs, you can click on the microphone icon.
Step 6: Choose Allow to grant permission for Google Docs to use your microphone for voice input.
Step 7: Once the microphone icon turns red, you can speak slowly, clearly, and fluently to allow the system to easily recognize and compose text for you.

Step 1: Go to Google Translate HERE
Step 2: In the right-hand panel, select Vietnamese as the input language.
Step 3: Continue pressing the microphone icon below to start composing text using voice on Google Translate.
